A rose amongst thorns
I just had a great day off at lake compounce in Kathy and Brian's hometown. We rode roller coasters all day with the Miskell teenage (and pre-teen) cousins -Sinead, Connor, Jeff, Rachel & Sam. Was totally fun and I'm glad I took the day off to go. It was, in fact - too fun to stop and take any pictures. Grammie Jeannie was great to help out and hold babies while the adults switched off Baby Duty to go on rides. I never knew that my mom was as a fan of roller coasters but now I know she really is.
Abby and I spent the night along with everyone else at chez Archibald. Here are a few photos of the rose amongst her cousin thorns ;-)

Hanging out at the Stoneham Pool
There is a public pool down the road from our house in Stoneham. Since Andrea lives nearby we met up to let Abby and Elisabeth go in the wading pool.

I like this photo of Elisabeth playing, but the poor guy behind her... I don't think he applied his sunscreen very carefully.
Lazy days of Summer I
Abby and I went to Cranes Beach on Saturday with the NUHOC lazy beach crew (Joy, Pete and Sam). I forgot how nice Cranes is, and Abby seemed to enjoy watching the waves and putting her feet in. Joy is my summer time beach trip organizer and she always seems to motivate everyone into going (even when Pete goes out drinking the night before ;-)).
The last photo in this series is from the morning before we went, and I included it here because I like the expression on her face.

Mobile?
Abby is on her way to becoming a mobile being. I'll put her down on her back then go and fill up her bath. When I come back she looks like this. Abby is also doing other big baby things, eating food pretty much every day, making rasberries, eating her feet and laughing (this is one of our favorites).
Its funny when you realize the baby is actually laughing, and laughing at YOU (doing anything it takes to make the baby laugh).
Anyway got to get off the computer because I may go up to cranes beach today with Joy and Pete. Any advice for Babys first trip to the beach? How does one avoid 'sand in the baby's butt' syndrome?
When she is 15 will she be mad at me for posting this photo?

Abby and I just hanging on the couch after a LONG day at work. Did I tell you for the past week work has been CRAZY? I think some of the folks who read my blog already know this fact.

Photo's with Al
We went to Al's studio - advanced photo and had some family and baby photos taken. Here's one of all 3 of us.
It's funny, for my whole life I've always had lots of family photos taken, and I've always been the kid in the photo. When I saw these photos, I had a moment of woh, I'm the mom in that photo... weird. Thanks to Al Perra for the photo shoot :-)
