Whats wrong with this picture?

I got a great Abby smile....

can you find what's odd about the photo?

Tighe reached down to fix Abby's hat, and I've got a nice shot of his finger in the way!

Hawkins Family in Harvard Square

How does one move a house?

With a lot of money :-)

Harvard is paying 1 million dollars to move one of their buildings Ukrainian House one block up mass ave. I guess they are building a new facility where the old Victorian house was originally built. Due to the houses size they had to take down the power lines, parking meters and other street paraphernalia, and pay 30 cambridge policeman to control the crowd of people who turned out to see the event. Tighe, Abby and I walked down there today to check it out. We didn't get to see the building in the street though because to do that we would had to have been up at 5 AM! Notice how in one picture the house is facing in towards the side street, and in the next one the house faces mass ave.

Just the fact that a house can be moved is sort of amazing isn't it? It's all about having the right engineers to plan how it can be done.

Hanging with Aiden

Jess, Josh and Aiden came over for a visit. We went to the park near our house. Aiden liked the mini-backhoe. Later he tried to sit in Abby's Bumbo seat. He is a little too big for it now.

Touchdown

Abby's feet touch the ground now in her exersaucer. It could be the result of the following:

1. Longer legs
2. Heavy enough to weigh down the springs that suspend the seat
3. Both of the above.

Red Sox 6/13/07 -

We celebrated Tighe's 36th birthday by going to the Red Sox game last night. Too bad they lost 12-2. What can you do? Maybe we are bad luck, they have lost 5/6 games we have been at in their last two seasons.

Not a good ratio. We had fun anyway hanging out with Trish and Josh, check out our Rally Caps that we broke out in the bottom of the 7th inning.

The last photo is just because I find it impossible to update the blog now and not fit in a picture of Abby :-)

A few photos of Clinton & Stacey's Wedding

I was too busy running around after my nephew Lance & holding Lincoln and Abby to be much of a photographer. Here are a few of the photos I snapped.

A visit from Joy

Joy came over to lend me a few things for Clinton's wedding... she lingered for awhile to hang with Abby, Tighe and I. She was on her way to Maine to see her little brother graduate.

Family Photo

Here's a few of us at Clinton and Stacey's wedding this weekend. These are from my moms camera. I didn't take too many photos of the actual wedding because there were alot of others doing so and with Abby there just doesn't seem to be as much time to take photos when I'm at a party.

Look what I can do :-)

Here's abby's latest trick - hanging out in her doorway bouncer, she seems to like it so far. Today was Abby's first day with Maureen the daycare lady, I think she did ok. It was most likely more difficult for me than her. Maureen said she did great and I didn't cry at drop off, I did my crying last weekend when I was trying to choose between the daycare options.
