Cars and Bikes

We took Abby to REI today because I wanted to buy a new belay device. They were having a bike sale for spring so Abby got to check out a few tricycles.


I had to post this one because Abby is doing this all the time. She sucks her middle two fingers to soothe herself whenever she gets worried or concerned. Totally addicted - like me, but to her finger sucking instead of to coffee ;). It is so funny, you can see her almost do it sometimes but then she decides "I don't really need a fix". I wonder if she will just stop doing it one day or if I will have to help her stop. Everyone knows I'll never be able to stop drinking coffee without help!

A Cold Easter Day

We went to the Easter celebration in Chelmsford this weekend. Since it came so early this year it was a wee bit cold here in MA. We still had all the Miskell/Sougnez Traditions going on: egg hunt, softball, a trip to the Roberts Field and lots of food (this year Irish Boiled Dinner of Corned Beef and Veggies).

Theresa came down with the Sire's family and gave me some more snowboarding video. Here's a little clip of riding at Cranmore a few weeks ago. The mountains are only open for 2 more weekends so we are hoping to go up to Conway again for one last day (weather permitting).

Abby says Ball

I noticed today that Abby says the word Ball! I think she might also be understanding a lot more speech lately. She will go and get her doll when I ask her to get her 'baby'.

Science Museum

We went to the science museum again this weekend to entertain Abby for a few hours. This time we checked out the butterfly garden which was pretty cool (well actually it was really hot in there but thats beside the point ;)).

Weights and balance in the discovery center

Don't know why I'm posting another picture of the Van de Graaff generator. I just think this room of the museum is so cool. It is like walking into a sci-fi movie scene. Kind of like I stepped off the spaceship onto the industrial planet Gedi Prime. Bonus points to anyone out there who leaves a comment and tells me what movie Gedi Prime is in. "May your blade chip and shatter"... ;)

Pensive

Tickle Me Abby

Abby's Aunt Kathy gave her this Tickle Me Elmo shirt for her birthday. It is probably the start of a long and happy relationship with that little red muppet.

Some New Skills

Abby knows what a phone is now. She picks up anything remotely resembling a phone (TV remote, rectangular shaped blocks, utensils whatever) then puts it to her ear and says hi.


She is also into opening and closing doors.... in... out... in... out. It's a game.

Mad Air

We are all up visiting the Sires family this weekend. Doing a little bit of everything, snowshoeing, sledding with Abby and trying out my new snowboard.

Check out Sam and I catching some mad air ;) Um.. not quite, but it was fun anyway.
