5.10

I lead a 5.10 in the gym tonight, which means I'm moving along on the path to one of my climbing goals. At somepoint in the hopefully not too distant future, I'd like to climb Cannon Cliff via the Whitney Gilman Ridge.

Here it is: looks a little scary doesn't it ? ;)

At My Grammie's

Grammie Jeannie watched Abby for a few days. Of course Abby was loving it :)

If I were a carpenter? And you were a ?

New friend Jackie

She was so tired she fell asleep right on the couch. Doesn't she just look so sweet here?

Birthday Party

Last Sunday we took Abby to Emma's 3rd birthday party. Emma seemed so excited to be the center of attention and Abby just loved being around the other kids all morning. The party was Dora themed and it was totally fun to eat cake and meet Emma & Jack's other friends and family.

Here are a few photos from the big event.

Apple Picking

On Saturday morning we went apple picking in North Andover at Smolak Farms. They have pick your own apples, raspberries, peaches, and pumpkins. Along with picking fruit, they also have hayrides, a playground, and a petting zoo. Abby didn't do much picking this year but she did enjoy eating the apples while we picked. After the bag was full, we headed over to the playground for a while. We ended the day at the petting zoo. Check out the last photo of Carrie and Abby feeding Leonard the llama. He was a bit aggressive trying to eat the food right out of the machine, but Abby wasn't at all afraid and fed him with her own hand. :)
P.S. Thanks to Theresa for the hat she and Earl brought Abby from Guatemala.

A weekend of bike rides

Every morning when we go out the front door now Abby delcares 'Bike' and/or 'Ride'. I decided to indulge her a bit this weekend and take her out on bike rides 2 days in a row.

Saturday - we started off at the park in Davis square and made it out to Spy Pond and back. Sunday was a bit more ambitious and I took her all the way out to Lexington for ice cream. She is pretty into riding fast on the bike and says 'wee wee wee' when we really get going.

On Saturday morning we ran into The Cibulskis kids, and it was pretty cute to see Abby and Emma wearing the same shirt! Gotta love Old Navy for the cute kiddie outfits.

Spy Pond - just past Alewife

Abby reading the newspaper with me at the restaurant. We stopped for breakfast after the ride since it was almost 11am and neither of us had eaten.

Hanging out at the park - Abby calls this structure the 'wobbly' ;)

Here is the start of the Sunday ride, look at how happy she is to be strapped into her bike seat!

Ice cream in Lexington Center, mmmmm so good!

The Museum of Science on Sunday morning. Abby just loves it there, she is so into the water table :)

Visit with Great Grannie

My grandfather served on a ship called the USS Altamaha.
Every few years Grammie Jeannie and Aunt Theresa work tirelessly to bring the ship's crew together for a reunion. I stopped in to visit my Grannie on the way up to this years reunion. She was so happy to see Abby and chat for awhile. I also did her hair up nice and enjoyed doting on her a bit.

Abby got to go for a ride with her Pepe, who's name she says so well lately.

One more photo because I just can't resist. Abby's new yellow slicker raincoat. I was so glad I had it the other day when it literally poured buckets of water on my way out of the grocery store.

Chilling Out

Wrights Pond with Nuhocers

We had a little Wrights Pond gathering last weekend with Jess, Josh, Joy, Sam and Aiden. The beach was awesome. Though I hate to say goodbye to the summer this was a nice way to bring it to a close.

Joy being the baby paparazzi ;)

Abby doing a little baby yoga.

Mmm sticky, sandy ice cream treats & some crazy kid hair!

They call this lip color 'popsicle red'

We also got to go to the red sox game last weekend...

...and Abby was so lucky that day, she got to hang out with her friend's Jack and Emma.
